The idea of eating healthy on a budget may seem impossible to most people. However, this is not the case at all! There are many ways that you can save money by making healthier food choices and cooking your meals from home. The first step for saving money when shopping is buying bulk foods like rice, pasta, or beans which have long shelf lives so they don’t go bad before being used up. Another way to buy less expensive groceries without sacrificing quality would be choosing products based on seasonality; however, it’s important that if you’re going with non-organic produce make sure that it has been sprayed heavily enough (ie: fresh corn )or prewashed/peeled vegetables).
1.) Portion control
Portion control is not just a good idea, it’s the law. At least for those who are at risk of obesity or diabetes because they have an unhealthy diet full of processed food and sugar drink consumption. Research has shown that even if you’re eating healthy foods like leafy greens and high protein sources such as chicken breast, too much can lead to weight gain when combined with large portions sizes from other types of junk food on top!
2.) Micros in nutrition
Micros in nutrition is essential for healthy living, but they can be hard to find.
Microbes have been a part of our lives since the beginning and continue to play an important role today; we often forget about them because their presence is so common that it becomes unremarkable. Microorganisms include many different types such as bacteria that live on every surface imaginable or fungi that grow only with certain plants like mushrooms – there are even some microbes that reside within animals! They’re all around us whether you realize it or not, making up over 50% of your body weight and 20% of global biomass (1). But did you know most people never get enough? The average person gets less than 10%. That number seems small at first glance
3.) Healthy breakfast is a must!
Every morning I eat a healthy breakfast with an egg, some toast, and fruit. It’s important to start the day off right because it sets me up for how the rest of my day will go!
It is so important that we take care of our bodies by providing them with good food to keep ourselves from getting sick or feeling sluggish. When you wake up every morning your body needs fuel, whether coffee or eggs- they both work as long as they give us what we need: energy for physical activities and mood boosts when needed.
Nutrition week is the most important time of year. Without nutrition, we wouldn’t survive for very long and would eventually die out as a species because there are many vitamins and minerals that our bodies need to function properly. One example might be calcium; without it, bones can become weak which may lead to osteoporosis or even worse–broken limbs! So this September we have an opportunity: either take advantage of Nutrition Week by offering fun activities like taste-testing healthy dishes with your friends and family.
